Use of Retain
Retain is a tracking and education app. You are responsible for the information you enter and for confirming any scanned food estimates before saving them. Retain is not a medical device and is not a substitute for care from your prescriber, doctor, dietitian, pharmacist, or other qualified provider.
No medical advice
Retain does not provide diagnosis, treatment, dosing instructions, medication changes, supplement instructions, or exercise prescriptions. Any educational material is general and cited. Do not use Retain output to make medication, dose, supplement, symptom, or exercise decisions.
Retain Pro: Lifetime and plans
Retain Pro is offered through Apple in-app purchase in two ways. Prices, trial availability, renewal, cancellation, billing retry, grace period, refund, and revocation are managed by Apple and shown in the App Store purchase sheet.
Lifetime is a one-time purchase. It never renews. It unlocks every Pro feature that runs on your device, for as long as the app is offered, on devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Lifetime does not include cloud photo scanning or any other feature that calls a paid online service on each use; those are available only with a plan. A Lifetime owner who is signed in to a Retain account keeps the same small number of sample photo scans as any free account.
Plans (monthly or yearly) are auto-renewing subscriptions. A plan includes every Pro feature plus cloud photo scanning under a fair-use daily limit shown in the app. You can manage or cancel a plan in Apple ID settings; it stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Cloud features
Pro cloud features require an active entitlement and may depend on third-party AI providers, Apple, and network availability. We may refuse or limit requests that are abusive, unsafe, outside the app's educational scope, or not covered by consent.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided as is, without warranties to the extent allowed by law. We are not liable for medical, nutrition, exercise, medication, data-entry, or third-party service decisions made outside the app.
